Article Processing Charges

To support the editorial and publishing process while maintaining high-quality open-access dissemination, The Journal of Smart Lean Manufacturing and Process Enhancement implements an Article Processing Charge (APC) system. These fees contribute to manuscript handling, peer review management, typesetting, digital archiving, and online hosting.

1. APC Categories and Fees

The journal offers two publication options: Regular Processing and Fast-Track Processing, with the following applicable charges:

A. Regular Processing

  • Indonesian Authors: IDR 200,000
  • International Authors: USD 20
  • Manuscripts are processed according to the journal’s standard peer review timeline.
  • The estimated time from submission to publication is typically 8-12 weeks, depending on the revision process.

B. Fast-Track Processing

  • Indonesian Authors: IDR 500,000
  • International Authors: USD 50
  • Manuscripts are given priority in the review process, with expedited handling.
  • The estimated time from submission to publication is 4-6 weeks, depending on revisions and editorial decisions.

Authors choosing the Fast-Track option will receive an accelerated peer-review process, ensuring a quicker decision and publication timeline. However, the quality and rigorous review standards remain unchanged.

2. Physical Copy Charges (Print Edition)

In addition to online access, The Journal of Social Innovation and Business offers a printed version for authors or institutions that prefer physical copies. Each volume consists of four issues, and the cost for a complete printed volume is:

  • Indonesian Orders: IDR 500,000 (excluding shipping costs).
  • International Orders: USD 50 (excluding shipping costs).

Authors or institutions interested in print copies must contact the editorial office for shipping rates, as fees vary based on the delivery location.

3. Waivers and Discounts

To encourage broader participation, especially from researchers in low-income countries or those facing financial constraints, the journal may provide partial or full waivers on a case-by-case basis. Waiver requests must be submitted before manuscript submission and are subject to editorial approval.

4. Payment and Refund Policy

  • Payments are non-refundable once the manuscript has been assigned for review.
  • Payment is required upon manuscript acceptance before the final publication stage.
  • Payment details and invoices will be provided after the editorial decision.

5. Transparency and Commitment to Open Access

The journal operates under a strict open-access model, ensuring that all published articles remain freely accessible to the global research community. The APC structure supports sustainable publishing operations while maintaining quality and accessibility.

For further inquiries regarding APCs, fast-track services, or print copy requests, authors may contact the editorial office via email.
